Protein keeps you full! So does fiber! Alert the media!

I needed a swift kick in the pants and after whining to my sister about the weight that I’ve gained she suggested we do a weight loss competition together! She needs to lose far less than I do so it’s set up at a 1:2 ratio. For every pound she loses I need to lose two. Her goal loss is 10 lbs, so obv. mine is 20. If I could get back to 140 I would be a happy camper. 

So last night I started lifting weights again (using Krista’s dumbbell circuit ) and today I’m going to run home (as long as it isn’t pouring when I leave). I also had:

Breakfast:

  • 1egg + 1 egg white with a tbsp of parmigiano reggiano
  • 1/2 cup of mixed tropical fruit

Lunch:

  • 1 cup tomato soup
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese (so random, but I need to go shopping)

Snack:

  • 1/2 serving of animal crackers with 1 tbsp of almond butter
  • 1 cup of cauliflower (raw) with 1 tbsp of blue cheese dressing

It’s the cauliflower that has my rolling around full. Ugh! I ate a little too much of it. I should really try to eat it as a snack more often though–I actually like the flavor and you can eat a ton of it for not too many calories. Aside from the dressing which I consider essential. I’ll just have to get another dressing with fewer calories. (Just trying to use up an old bottle with the blue cheese.)

Dinner is going to be some chicken dish with the BF. He wants to cook some chicken–I’m thinking of stuffing it with goat cheese sun dried tomatoes and artichokes. Yum! Not sure about side dishes. I’ll figure something out…

Memorial Day left me up a few pounds unfortunately. But I’m just not going to think about it and move forward. I can do this. I know I can.

    i went through your site, it is really awesome. i went through the secrets of weight loss. your idea of losing weight without dieting and having stuff yourself with all vitamins and fibers is really great. you are terrific with your work. i think i better start trying hard.
